We are working with Wigan Youth Zone to run the fun sound/music experience for female young Carers aged 11-18 It’s on Thursdays 6-8pm for 12 weeks starting next week 24th September & WALYC will be supporting these sessions only 8 places available-contact Nicola on 07702 679068

As the summer holidays are drawing to a close just a reminder that whilst we haven't been able to undertake our normal activities we are supporting Young Carers - here is our summer events calendar - there is still time to join in some Zoom activities for aged 11-24 & walk & talks for age 11-24.
Congratulations to Megan from our Wigan based Sunshine group who has won the Carers Awareness session logo competition! Megan entered the competition to design a logo for the Pin Badge that will be handed out for completion of Wigan Council's hour long Carers Awareness sessions.
Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre Funding for Training Need access to training but have no funding? • Are you an unpaid carer that is registered with Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre needing funding to access training? • Or are you a member of a community or voluntary organisation that works with or supports carers looking to provide training? Why not apply for a Training Grant? • A funding grant can be used to support unpaid carers access training, activities that will make a difference to their lives • You can apply for up to £200 if you are a carer or £1,500 if you are a Community or Voluntary organisation.
