This week we got an update from the manager at Salford Carers Centre in reference to our young carers taking part in a Greater Manchester wide consultation earlier this year.
Martin Arkwright , Adam Houghton , Daniel Dowd and Philip Weston are running to raise money for Wigan & Leigh Young Carers and our aim is to run the Wigan 10K on September 6th and on September 20th Martin and Adam are running the Warrington Half Marathon and all our proceeds are going to this great charity which enables our young carers in the area to some much needed funds towards a break from their responsibilities at home
NEW JOB VACANCY WITH EMBRACE Child Protection Fieldworker 30 hours a week (£18,000 - £20,000 pro rata based on 37 hour week) The primary responsibility for the project is to be a point of contact for disabled parents and their families who are in the child protection arena.
Thursday 16th July 2015 Caring with Confidence: Caring Day to Day This session looks at some of the essential things involved in caring for someone each day including emergencies at home and medication.

Back in May this year a group of young people, parents and professionals got together to help Children & Young people’s mental health services to start to look at what needs to change, and develop a mental health service that they would prefer to see.
